After a stint standing outside Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and other Royal residential palaces for the Scots Guards, Alastair decided to get back into education gaining a degree from Manchester Metropolitan University. This led to a complete career change and the building of his first website for a Manchester based company who specialised in electro hydraulic and pneumatic products.

Yet Alastair decided he needed to see more of the world and so got on his backpack and travelled the continent of South America, drinking coffee, cuba libres' and waiting for the world to end (Y2K APOCALYPSE). The world didn't end, so Alastair returned to Manchester and took a job at BCMB, an advertising agency based in Old Trafford, working on national and international websites for a range of clients.

Yet the lure of South America beckoned again and he returned to Colombia, where he ran his own agency for several years before again returning to the sunny climes of Manchester and going back to work for BCMB.

Over the next five years he continued to work on numerous projects and website rebrands while also finding time to to gain a postgraduate degree in Design Management at Salford University.

Alastair then moved on to Xerox Global Services producing work not only for Xerox but also a major supermarket retailer over a two and half year period before finaly moving on to new challenges as Senior Web Developer at RMS.
